Happy Internationaler Tag des Kinderbuches! Happy International Children's Book Day!

Es war einmal...
...und wenn sie nicht gestorben sind, leben sie lange, glücklich und zufrieden.

One day I gave Clifford a bath. And I combed his hair and took hom to the dog show. I'd like to say Clifford won first prize...but he didn't. I don't care. You can keep all your small dogs. You can keep all your black, white, brown, and spotted dogs. I'll keep Clifford...Wouldn't you?

Meinst du er wird von den getrockneten Kakerlaken probieren, wenn ich ihm sage, es seien Erdnüsse?

'You must be a friend,' said Corduroy. 'I've always wanted a friend.'
'Me too,' said Lisa, and gave him a big hug.

Lass mich auf der Stelle los du hohlköpfige Pilzfresserin! Ich habe keine Zeit für Koboldscherze!

'I don't need very much now,' said the boy, 'just a quiet place to sit and rest. I am very tired.'
'Well,' said the tree, straightening herself up as much as she could, "well, an old stump is good for sitting and resting. Come, Boy, sit down. Sit down and rest.'
And the boy did. And the tree was happy.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

It has been a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. My mom says some days are like that.

'Why did you do all this for me?' he asked. 'I don't deserve it. I've never done anything for you.'
'You have been my friend,' replied Charlotte. 'That in itself is a tremendous thing.'
